Iran's growing influence in West Asia
There have been some diplomatic meetings that one would not have imagined given the geopolitical situation in West Asia.
For example, the UAE foreign minister visited Syria recently. Then came the visit of the UAE topic security official to Iran.
And talks between Saudi Arabia and Iran have been ongoing for some time. What is the significance of these meetings?
For one thing, it shows the failed policies of some of these countries, like the war on Syria. It also shows Irans growing influence in the region, to the dismay of the US.
