In a country, which lectures the world about human rights and rule of law, the United States is having increasing trouble in protecting its own citizens at home. Gun violence inside of the US is taking the lives of 39,000 Americans every year. And included in that number is a staggering 1400 young people and children being killed by guns in 2021.
