Over the latest updates from the NBA, in a battle at the top of the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors have demolished the visiting Phoenix Suns 118-96.
The Warriors took the upper hand by winning the opener 28-21, and despite their 4-point loss, they went to their locker room with a 51-48 lead. However, the hosts remained consistent after the break as they widened the gap to 12 points at the end of the 3rd quarter.
They took the final quarter with another 10-point margin that led to their 22-point overall victory. Both teams will next meet the San Antonio Spurs. The warriors will welcome the Spurs at the Chase Center on Saturday, while the 2021 runners-up will entertain San Antonio on Monday.
Meanwhile, on Friday night at the Barclays Center, the Eastern Conference Leaders Brooklyn Nets have edged past the Minnesota Timberwolves 110 to 105.
The Nets opened up a 4-point gap at the end of the 1st half. But the Timberwolves surged after the break and cut the gap to a solitary point to stay in the game. However, Brooklyn retook the momentum in the final and beat the Visitors 24-20 to earn their 16th victory of the season. Kevin Durant was the best player of the game with 30 points.
