Donald Trump has said that the 2020 disputed US presidential election was “the greatest Election Hoax in history.”
The former Republican president, who believes that the election was rigged by the Washington establishment in favor of Joe Biden, the current US president, slammed GOP Senator Lindsey Graham and Mike Lee for not speaking with him “about the 2020 election scam,” during the last days of his presidency.
Trump said in a recent statement that both senators had been “unwilling to fight for the Presidency of the United States.”
“Lindsey [Graham] and Mike [Lee] should be ashamed of themselves for not putting up the fight necessary to win,” wrote Trump in a statement via his Save America PAC.
“Republicans who were unwilling to fight for the Presidency of the United States, which would have included at least an additional four Republican Senators, two in Georgia, one in Michigan, one in Arizona, are letting the Democrats get away with the greatest Election Hoax in history,” he stated.” A total con job!”
According to recent surveys, most Republicans still believe that the election was stolen from Trump, and Trump is the legitimate president of the United States.
Trump’s supporters stormed the US Capitol in the hope of preventing lawmakers from certifying Biden's victory, thus overturning the outcome of the 2020 presidential election but to no avail.
Angry protesters clashed with police and tried to beat up a number of Democratic lawmakers. They also damaged some parts of the building housing both wings of Congress.
CIA meddled in the 2020 US election: Analyst
Commenting on Trump’s latest statement about the 2020 election, American journalist Don DeBar said, “There was a huge amount of evidence that was disclosed to the public in public hearings demonstrating a strong possibility that the outcomes in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan would have changed, because in each case there were administrative changes in the election procedures that violated the Constitutional requirement that Federal elections be conducted according to laws set forth by the state legislatures. This was suppressed affirmatively by the media, from wall to wall, and by the entire US Federal court system.”
“And now that there was an election last weekend in Russia for the Russian Parliament, the US State Department raised exactly the same questions about Russia's election that were considered absurdities, and delusional, with respect to the 2020 US Presidential election,” he told Press TV.
“In my opinion, in each case we are seeing the product of CIA meddling - in the 2020 US election, which would be a major criminal conspiracy indictable under the US law known as RICO, and in the Russian election, which, given the US military posture towards Russia, lays the groundwork for an indictment at the ICC for war crimes,” he noted.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the fact that American security forces arrested hundreds of people protesting the disputed 2020 election at the US Capitol on January 6 proves that Washington is cracking down on political dissent.
In an interview in June with NBC News ahead of his meeting with Biden, Putin said the mass arrests show that the United States targets its citizens for their political opinions.
“We have a saying: ‘Don't be mad at the mirror if you are ugly,’” Putin told the American news network.
