Art, literature contests being held about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

The World Congress of Arts for Muhammad, The Prophet of Mercy, is holding contests in different languages and sub-categories of art and literature, with themes involving the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Islam.

Contestants can submit their works of art and literature on the website of the congress at www.wcam.ir until August 9, 2021, and the winners will be announced on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, which falls on October 24 this year.

The sub-categories of literature include poetry, short story, very short story, novel and literary texts, and those of art include calligraphy, calligraphy painting, poster, digital art, typography, painting, Tazhib, photography, short film and video clip.

According to the website of the World Congress of Arts for Muhammad, The Prophet of Mercy, the winners in each sub-category will be awarded a cash prize as well as valuable local handicrafts, an honorary diploma and the selected artworks’ booklet.

The themes of submitted works, as defined by the website of the congress, are as follows:

  1. The last Prophet (PBUH) as a thorough role model for personal and social life
  2. A mercy to the worlds; the prophet of love and honest interactions between divine religions
  3. The Greatest Prophet (PBUH), the axis of unity among Islamic societies
  4. The perfection of the rationality of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in lifestyle against the fall of the rationality of the contemporary world
  5. The advent of Islamic civilization for mankind salvation and social status through Islamic education and the Quran
  6. Muhammad (PBUH), a true symbol for perfect worship and cognition of Allah
  7. The message of pure Islam, and not the Western-defined one, for resistance against oppressive powers
