In Motorsports, reigning champion Lewis Hamilton has earned his 8th British Grand Prix title, after fighting back from a 10-second penalty for a crash with title rival Max Verstappen.
Hamilton and Verstappen had fought throughout the first-half lap of the Grand Prix, but made contact at turn 9 with Red Bull’s Verstappen spinning hard into the barriers and out of action.
The race was stopped after the incident with Charles Leclerc in the lead, followed by Hamilton and the Ferrari Driver held that position until two laps from the end.
That was when the 7-time champion passed him to take the chequered flag after 1 hour, 58 minutes and 23 seconds.
Valtteri Bottas finished third to complete the podium. However, Verstappen is still at the top of the standings with 185 points as Hamilton is 8 points behind him in second place.
Up next is the Hungarian Grand Prix, which will be held after a 2-week break.
