At least fifty people have been killed, many others injured and many are feared trapped after a massive fire raged through a factory in Bangladesh, officials said on Friday (July 9).
The cause of the fire, which originated at a ground floor of a multi-storey building of the juice factory on Thursday (July 8) night in Narayanganj, 20 km (12 miles) from Dhaka, was not immediately known.
Such accidents in factories, many of which operate illegally and without proper fire safety measures, are common in Bangladesh.
