Brazil’s perfect run in the Copa America has come to an end as they settled for a 1-all draw against Ecuador in a Group B finale.
Brazil, who had already qualified for the quarterfinals as the group winners, took the lead in the 37th minute when Real Madrid defender Eder Militao leapt highest in the box to convert Everton’s free-kick via a perfect header.
But eight minutes into the restart, Angel Mena rifled in a volley after a succession of short headers to equalize the match and send Ecuador through as 4th-place finishers.
That's while the draw put an end to Brazil’s 10-game winning run since November 2019.
