Myanmar's Yangon protesters are blocking traffic by pretending to pick up shallots in the middle of the streets, fix their bicycles or take naps, in the hopes of hampering movements of the security forces around the city.
This latest tactic comes after a recent disruption campaign where motorists stopped their vehicles in the middle of the road, with bonnets of some left open in pretense that the vehicles had broken down.
Since the military ousted civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi on February 1, big cities and isolated villages alike have mounted a revolt against the return of junta rule.
