To the NBA, the visiting Brooklyn Nets have thrashed the Celtics 123 to 95 at TD Garden in Boston.
The Nets managed to take the opener 26 to 22, but the hosts came from behind and won the 2nd quarter by 7-points, which led to their 54 to 51 advantage at the intermission. However, the Nets turned the game around after the break as they first took a 9-point lead after winning the third 35 to 23, and they then routed the Celtics 37 to 18 in the fourth to win the match by staggering 28 points.
Brooklyn's super star duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant notched 66 points collectively, while Jaylen Brown bagged 27 for the Celtics.
Meanwhile, Defending Champions the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks 138 to 115 at Staples Center. The hosts were the better side of the match from the onset as they went to their locker room with a 69 to 57 lead.
The Lakers continued their flawless performance after the break, taking the next 2 quarters to register a 23-point margin at the end of the match. The Lakers will welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, while on the same day the Mavericks will once again travel to LA, but this time they will face the Clippers.
