Yemen’s civilization in Saudi Arabia’s crosshairs

Yemen’s archaeological and tourist sites have not been spared in operations by the Saudi-led coalition.

Put the infrastructure and residential areas apart, the Yemeni civilization, going back thousands of years, has suffered greatly.

The city of Thala in Shibam Kawkaban is one of the historical cities repeatedly pounded by airstrikes.

To shed light on this, the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums held a press conference, the first of its kind, where it reviewed the extent of the damage to the Yemeni antiquities since 2015.

Yemen also suffers from a tragic humanitarian situation described by the United Nations as the world’s worst.

The incessant and systematic targeting of everything related to Yemen’s history has exposed Riyadh’s veiled hatred.
