An aide to New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo says she was "sexually harassed” by the top Democrat for years, complaining that others knew and did nothing to stop it.
Lindsey Boylan took to Twitter Sunday to speak up about her victimization, cautioning that “I am not the only woman.”
"Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years," Boylan wrote. "Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years."
The aide has not yet provided any details about harassment and the New York mayor's office is yet to respond.
"Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it," Boylan continued. "No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman… My second worst fear is having to talk about and relive this.”
Pressure is growing on US Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie to resign in the wake of a watchdog report that showed he tried to discredit a congressional aide who said she was assaulted at a VA hospital.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined several veteran groups Saturday in calling for Wilkie’s dismissal.
