Foreign arms deals, green-lighted by Benjamin Netanyahu, have taken center stage in fresh massive protests against the scandal-ridden Israeli prime minister.

The rallies entered their 23rd consecutive week on Saturday, Israel’s Ha’aretz newspaper reported.

Thousands were seen converging from various parts of the occupied territories on Netanyahu’s official residence in the holy occupied city of Jerusalem al-Quds.

Elsewhere, demonstrations took shape in the cities of Tel Aviv, Caesarea, and Holon and the towns of Taibeh, Umm al-Fahm, and Kafr Yassif.

The protesters have been calling on the premier to resign over his indictment on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

The malpractice leading up to the charges is being studied across four legal cases. A “Case 3000” concerns Netanyahu’s green-lighting purchase of three German-made nuclear submarines, despite objection from military officials.

The crowds attending the Saturday rallies were seen holding up inflatable submarines to highlight the issue and also protest the Netanyahu regime’s refusal to stand up to Germany’s sale of the same equipment to Egypt.

They also carried mock-up F-35 warplanes overhead, taking issue with the regime’s refusal to confront the United States’ sale of the advanced stealth aircraft to the United Arab Emirates.

Following a US-brokered normalization deal with the UAE, Netanyahu has somewhat softened Israel’s traditionally vehement opposition to the sale of sensitive military equipment to Abu Dhabi, particularly F-35 fighter jets.

Former director of internal spy service, Shin Bet, and one-time Navy commander Ami Ayalon lashed out at Netanyahu over what he described as the premier’s lack of concern about the regime’s “security.”

“You've become a danger to Israel's security,” he said, adding “take the defendant's seat and fight to prove your innocence."
