UEFA has decided to postpone the Champions League and the Europa League finals due to the ongoing health crisis across the continent.

The European Football governing body said in a statement that it has formally taken the decision to postpone the club finals, originally scheduled for May 2020.

It added that no decision has been made yet for rearranging the dates. The Champions League final was due to take place on May the 30th in Istanbul, while Gdansk was set to host the Europa League final on May the 27th.

This is the second delay UEFA has had to confirm within the last week, after Euro 2020 was postponed to next year.
