The Duke of York continues to bring shame and disgrace to the British royal family as more and more individuals and companies distance themselves from him.
According to reports, Pitch@Palace, a mentoring and networking company originally set up by the Duke is now scrambling to distance itself from its disgraced founder.
The company had previously moved its base from inside Buckingham Palace into new independent office space.
A search of the company’s website now shows the forum has completely erased Prince Andrew’s name.
The well-networked forum connects start-ups, particularly in the technology sector, to potential individual or institutional investors.
But powerful backers started to abandon Pitch@Palace following Prince Andrew’s disastrous BBC Newsnight interview last November.
It was widely reported that major banks and professional services firms, including Barclays, Standard Chartered and KPMG all severed ties to Pitch@Palace following the Newsnight interview.
Following the Newsnight interview, the Duke announced he was stepping back from royal duties because of the escalating controversy centred on the Duke’s close relationship with the disgraced wealthy financier and child sex offender, Jeff Epstein, who committed suicide last August.
Despite pledging to cooperate with US investigators on the Epstein probe, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Geoffrey Berman, announced late last month that the Prince had in fact provided “zero co-operation”.
