Juan Guaido the self-declared interim president of Venezuelan arrived in London to meet with UK government officials and members of the Venezuelan opposition diaspora.

It was the first official visit by Guaido to the UK since launching a series of coup attempts against the democratically elected Venezuelan government in January, February, and April of 2019.

Despite, the Venezuelan Supreme Court barring him from leaving the country, Guaido met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as well as Colombian president Ivan Duque on Monday in Colombia before heading to London where he was also met with protesters that opposed his support for military intervention and sanctions against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Juan Guaido the Venezuelan opposition leader who made international headlines when he declared himself the president of Venezuela back in January in 2019 is Europe trying shore up international support. However, not everyone is pleased to see him here and some are skeptical about his motivations.

Following his London trip, Venezuelan opposition leader set to go to Brussels on Wednesday to hold talks with the European Union's officials before he heads to the World Economic Forum in Davos later in the week where he will urge officials to increase economic sanctions against Venezuela

Press TV attempted to ask Juan Guaido why he was so supportive of sanctions. He did not seem willing or able to answer.
