ES Tunis of Tunisia have concluded their 2019 FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar, with a 6-2 thrashing of hosts Al-Saad.
The Tunisians were on the front foot from the get-go, and took a 3-nil lead within the first 25 minutes, with Hamdou Elhouni scoring the opener, while Anice Badri had a brace.
Al-Saad pulled one back in the 32nd minute, as Baghdad Bounedjah converted a spot kick, but Elhouni registered his second from a tight angle for a 4-1 lead at half time.
10-man Al-Saad found some hope four minutes after the restart, as Hassan Al-Haydos bagged the second from the penalty spot, but Elhouni restored the three goal cushion, before Sameh Derbali completed the rout. The result means ES Tunis finished fifth at the tournament.
