The draw for the 12-nation 2020 edition of the CONMEBOL Copa America has been conducted.
The path to glory for South America’s continental crown was revealed on Tuesday in Colombia, where co-host Argentina will open the event on June the 12th, with a match-up against Group A rivals Chile in Buenos Aires.
Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay and Guest Nation Australia, who will make their debut at the tournament, are also drawn in the same group.
That’s while Group B will be hosted by Colombia and is headlined by reigning champions Brazil, alongside Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and 2nd invited participants, Qatar.
This will be the 4th Copa America in 6 years. Four teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, with the final to take place on the 12th of July in Colombia.
