Meeting of Russian Federation Security Council

On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the countrys National Security Council to assess military challenges Moscow will face in the next decade.

Putin expressed concern over an increase in the number of countries with nuclear weapons. The Russian president added that Moscow is concerned about NATO buildup near the Russian borders and attempts to weaponize outer space. His comments come as tensions between Russia and US-led NATO are at an all-time high.
