Liverpool have preserved their pristine record in the Premier League season with a sixth win after seeing off hosts Chelsea 2-1.
Trent Alexander-Arnold put Liverpool ahead in the 14th minute at Stamford Bridge with a curling shot into the top corner following a free-kick from the edge of the box.
Another set piece led to another goal for the visitors in the 30th minute, this time Roberto Firmino rising above everyone else to plant a header into the net.
Chelsea gave themselves some hope in the 71st minute after N’Golo Kante made a run to the edge of the box and unleashed a spectacular shot into the top corner. The hosts pressed for an equalizer, but that proved elusive as Liverpool maintained their five-point lead at the top of the table while Chelsea sit 11th with 8 points.
