China defeat Thailand 2-1 to reach Asian Cup quarter-finals

China have reached the Asian Cup quarter-finals after mounting a 2nd-half fightback to beat Thailand 2-1.

Thailand went ahead just after the half hour mark when Supachai Jaided rammed the ball past the Chinese Keeper from close range.

China equalized midway through the 2nd half as substitute forward Xiao Zhi found the net 3 minutes after coming onto the pitch.

China got the winner 4 minutes later. Gao Lin was brought down in the box, after which he swept the spot-kick high into the net.
