EU outlines Brexit position as pressure builds on British PM

EU ministers meeting in Brussels agree that they would like to see a Brexit transition period run for 21 months from the end of March next year to the end of December 2020. Negotiations between the EU and Britain on the transition are due to go on for the next three months but pressure is building on Prime Minister Theresa May over her handling of the issue.
