The Iran men’s national beach soccer team has robustly ended its campaign at the second edition of Persian Beach Soccer Cup in the southern Iranian port city of Bushehr, and whole-heartedly defended its title as the champion of the international tournament.
The Iranian squad saw off the spirited Spain national beach soccer team, nicknamed La Furia Roja (The Red Fury) or Los Hispanos (The Hispanos), 4-2 in the final showdown at Bushehr Tourism Village on Monday evening.
Forward player Moslem Mesigar scored a hat trick for Iran, while Mohammad Ahmadzadeh was on target just once.
Earlier in the day, the Ukraine and Azerbaijan national beach soccer teams took on each other in the third-place playoff.
