Over 1.1mn take China's civil service exam

About 1.1 million applicants took China's national civil service examination on Sunday, competing for 28,000 government vacancies in over 120 central government departments and agencies.

The examination is viewed as one of the most competitive in the country, as only one out of every 39 applicants can secure a government career this year.
