Iran to strengthen petrochemical sector

Iran plans to launch several projects in the fields of gas and petrochemistry aimed at diminishing the country’s reliance on crude oil exports. The Iranian Oil Ministry has announced the country’s petrochemical sector is projected to reach a total production of 72 million metric tons in 2017 given the appropriate infrastructure and adequate feedstock.
