Iran’s national junior water polo team has recorded its first victory at the Singapore Water Polo Challenge.
On Thursday and the opening day of the international tournament at the OCBC Aquatic Centre in Singapore, the young Iranian athletes defeated their Serbian counterparts 10-7.
The Iranian team is scheduled to face off the host nation in its second showdown on Friday, before taking on Australia’s University of New South Wales Magpies the next day.
The Singapore Water Polo Challenge kicked off on June 8 and will run through June 11, 2017.
Iran’s national junior water polo team, the Singaporean national men’s water polo squad, Serbia and Australia’s University of New South Wales Magpies have taken part in the event.
