The Islamic Republic of Iran is going to host the first edition of the Asian Paralympic Archery Tournament later this year.
President of Para Archery Association at the Islamic Republic of Iran National Paralympic Committee (IRINPC), Majid Kahtari, said on Tuesday that the World Archery Federation (WA) finally agreed to the competition following protracted negotiations between Iranian sports officials and WA authorities.
Kahtari added that the first edition of the Asian Paralympic Archery Tournament is scheduled to kick off in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on November 6, and will conclude on November 11, 2017.
He stressed that Iran will do its utmost to host the contest in the best possible form, hoping the competion will be added to the world para archery calendar.
