UK, master at pursuing divide and rule strategy: Analyst

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned of Britain’s plots to partition the Muslim countries in the Middle East. The Leader also said the enemy is seeking to destroy Iran’s “national power,” adding that authorities must work to strengthen the government’s executive and judicial branches in the face of such plots.

Kevin Barrett, editor of Veterans Today, believes Britain has managed to rule the world through a “divide and conquer strategy” for more than a century, adding that it is a master at tricking the colonized and subjugated people into fighting against each other.

“So the Supreme Leader is absolutely right. These forces are very much interested in not only breaking up the Middle Eastern countries, these other countries along the model of the Oded Yinon plan, the Israeli 1980s plan to balkanize the Middle East, but they do want to go after Iran as well,” the analyst told Press TV.

He went on to say that in fact Iran is the most important target of the so-called war on terror that was really an attempt to destroy all countries in the region.

Therefore, he said, these neo-imperialists are certainly plotting to reduce Iran’s freedom and independence to achieve their goal.

Barrett further noted it is London and Tel Aviv’s nightmare that the region becomes strong and prosperous because Israel will not be able to pursue expansionism if such a thing happens.
