Iranian referee, lineswoman officiate AFC U-19 Women's Championship qualifier

Iranian female referee Saltanat Norouzi and lineswoman Samaneh Mohseni have officiated a match at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-19 Women's Championship qualification.

On Tuesday, the Iranian pair excelled at the Group C fixture between Myanmar and Palestine in Myanmar’s largest city and former capital city of Yangon.

The hosts clinched a smooth 10-0 win, with July Kyaw scoring five goals, Nu Nu recording three, and both Shwe Moe Aye and substitute Thinzar Cho netting a goal each.

In another match of the day, Thailand trounced Kyrgyzstan 7-0.

Thai forward Jiraporn registered four goals, including a penalty, while Kanyanat Chetthabutr scored a hat-trick before the half-time whistle.

The 2017 AFC U-19 Women's Championship qualification kicked off on October 27, and will conclude on December 24. The top team from each of the four groups will qualify for the final tournament.

The 2017 AFC U-19 Women's Championship, which serves as the 9th edition of the continental tournament for women's national teams under the age of 19, will be staged between October 14 and 128 next year in China.

Japan, North Korea, South Korea and the host nation have already qualified directly as the top four finishers of the 2015 AFC U-19 Women's Championship.
