Syrian armed forces push ahead with their anti-terror operations across the country, killing large numbers of Takfiri terrorists in the battles.
The official SANA news agency said Thursday that Syrian fighter jets carried out air raids on the positions of Jaish al-Fatah terrorists in the northern part of Hama Province, leaving many of them dead.
A military source told SANA that scores of vehicles, some equipped with machine guns, were destroyed in the air strikes, which hit the gathering of militants in the cities of Mourek and Tibet al-Imam and in the surroundings of al-Buwaida village and Souran town.
Other air attacks were also carried out on militant positions in Hama, including one that killed 10 terrorists from the so-called Jaish al-Nassr and Jund al-Aqsa Takfiri groups in the surroundings of Souran town.
Fighting continued further to Syria’s north, where pro-government forces managed to hit several terrorist hideouts in Kafr Hamra on the northwestern sides of Aleppo City.
Khan Touman in Aleppo’s southwestern countryside also saw anti-militant attacks by the Syrian air forces as a convoy of vehicles belonging to the terrorists was targeted, killing and injuring many.
Air strikes were also reported in the south, where oil tanker trucks operated by the Daesh Takfiri group were struck in Shaghaf village in the eastern part of Sweida Province.
A mortar position of militants in al-Nueimeh town in the eastern countryside of Daraa, in southern Syria, was also targeted by Syrian fighter jets, leaving scores killed.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011.
United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura estimates that over 400,000 people have been killed in the conflict in Syria. The UN has stopped its official casualty count in Syria, citing its inability to verify the figures it receives from various sources.
