World Cup trophy belonging to Pele sold for $570,000

A replica of Jules Rimet World Cup trophy belonging to football legend, Pele, has been sold in an auction for over 570,000​ dollars.

Pele has set up his great collection of personal memorabilia for auction. His collection includes medals, shirts used in the games, and the soccer boots worn in the film Escape to Victory.

The Brazilian player was given the replica in 1970 for winning three World Cups, a triumph which has not been repeated in history ever since.
