Iran marks National Persian Gulf Day

April 29 is the National Persian Gulf Day in Iran. A ceremony has been held in Tehran to deliberate on the importance of the strategic waterway and its significance for Iranians. Scholars believe attempts to change the name of the Persian Gulf is aimed at undermining Iran’s influence in the region.
