Russia has called for the inclusion of Kurdish representatives in upcoming Syrian peace talks. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Turkey of blocking invitations to Syrian Kurds. The Russian foreign minister was speaking at a joint press conference with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Moscow. The two officials discussed bilateral issues as well as the crises in Syria and Libya. Last month, Syrian warring sides began negotiations aimed at bringing a diplomatic solution to the years-long conflict. Kurdish representatives were excluded from those talks, due to objections by Turkey.
