The Persians started the warm-up match for the 2016 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship in Bahrain in some kind of defensive mode, and avoided cracking long-ranged shot to prevent East Europeans from earning points. Ukraine team eventually closed the first period 12-11.

After the breather, the Iranians succeeded to assert their dominance as the game progressed, and took the game by 25 points to 21 at last.

The achievement came a day after Iran lost out to the strong Czech side 32-38.

The International Men’s Handball Christmas Cup started in Wroclaw on December 28, and wrapped up the following day.

The Iranian outfit will now head to Germany in order to hold a three-day sports training camp there.
