1. US CALLS RUSSIA, CHINA 'THREAT' TO WORLD ORDER

US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter has said that Russia and China challenge the world order. He said, "Although the US military does not seek” a new Cold War, it is determined to oppose the rising global powers – Russia and China – in order to protect the US-dominated “international order.”

2.  MYANMAR’S ELECTIONS: NOT FREE AND FAIR

It has been hailed as a free and fair election not seen in decades in Myanmar. But the military-run government barred all Muslims, like the Rohingyas from voting. Suu Kyi’s win will serve the interest not only of the Myanmarese, but also of the US, who wants to use Mayanmar as a military base against China.

3. CATALONIA’S INDEPENDENCE

Catalonian officials and parliament have voted for a constitutional change to pave the way for independence of Catalonia. This threatens the European integration and unity, since there are over 20 regions in Europe seeking secession.
