A shooting incident has left one person dead and two other people injured in Union Country, N.J., authorities say.
The drive-by shooting happened at about 2:30 p.m. Friday which left a man seriously injured who died a short time later.
A 6-year-old girl, who was on the back porch of a house, was injured when the shooter shot her in the leg. The third person was a woman who was shot in the leg, but was treated at the scene.
Officers have begun their investigation, saying that they know the suspect’s name, but so far nobody has been arrested.
The shooting came just two days after a gunman fatally shot three people inside a house in Oakland, California, before killing himself.
The gunman identified as Herman Derico killed two women and a man in a home Wednesday night.
Two of the victims were the parents of a four-year-old girl who was found unharmed in the house.
