Iranian futsal club Tasisat Daryaei has exhibited an awe-inspiring display of strength and athletic in the final showdown of the 2015 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Club Championship hosted in Iran’s central city of Isfahan, and stood atop the podium.
The Tehran-based squad claimed the continental title with a 5-4 victory over Qadsia of Kuwait at Isfahan’s Nagsh-e-Jahan Stadium on Friday evening.
Tasisat took the lead just two minutes into the game when its 27-year-old striker Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh received a ball from the left and smashed it into the Kuwaiti side’s corner.
Qadsia sportsmen tested their chances moments later, and Abdulrahman Alwadi fired off a shot in the fifth minute, but Tasisat’s goalkeeper Mehdi Mostafaei, who had taken over between the posts from the suspended Mostafa Nazari, managed to send the ball away for a corner.
The Iranians doubled their lead a minute later, when Vahid Shamsaei clipped his pass through to Qordat Bahadori and his left-foot shot from distance kissed the top corner.
Tasisat continued to push forward in the remaining minutes of the first half, and denied their opponents the opportunity to chalk up a goal on the scoreboard.
Iranian futsal players returned to action with vim and vigor; and Reza Sangsefidi netted Tasisat’s third goal two minutes after the break.
However, Hamad Hayat adroitly found the back of the net less than a minute later to open the scoring for the Kuwaiti team.
Qadsia conceded the fourth goal in the 36th minute, when Shamsaei caught the ball and quickly slotted it into the unguarded net from distance, but Alwadi’s powerful strike from the right a minute later helped the Kuwaitis keep their hopes alive.
Hassanzadeh scored his second of the match less than a minute later to regain the three-goal cushion for Tasisat. Qadsia players responded almost immediately in the dying minutes of the match, and Alwadi and Abdulrahman Altawail scored two goals that turned out only to be consolation goals for the visitors as the final whistle sounded and left the Kuwaiti club in the second position.
