Tunisia proposes controversial corruption amnesty bill

Tunisian President Beji Caied Essebsi has presented a draft law known as the economic reconciliation project. If adopted by parliament, it will grant amnesty to thousands of former regime figures, ministers, top aides of ousted dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and corrupt businessmen who embezzled billions of dinars from state fund.
