Voting is over in Britain’s general elections. An exit poll shows Prime Minister David Cameron's Conservatives are set to be the largest party in the Commons but short of a majority.
The poll suggests Conservatives have won 316 seats while the main opposition Labour Party got 239. The Scottish National Party is set for a historic victory with 58 seats and the centrist Liberal will get just 10 in the 650-seat parliament. The minimum number needed to form a majority is 326. The numbers indicate that Cameron will be able to remain in office with support from another small party.
