The proposed policies of presumptive US presidential nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will be “horrible” for Americans and the rest of the world, an American political commentator.
The presidency of either Clinton or Trump may “launch World War III,” said Don DeBar, an author and radio host in New York City.
“Trump speaks like an Islamophobe on the one hand; [but] Hillary Clinton has probably had her hand in the murder of more Muslims than anyone in history” during her time as secretary of state, DeBar told Press TV on Tuesday.
“Hillary Clinton, in particular, is the person most likely to start World War III; Donald Trump at least promises not to do that, [and] let’s see whether he means it,” he added.
Trump and Clinton are viewed unfavorably by most Americans and neither candidate prompts much excitement among the electorate, according to a new poll.
Both Trump and Clinton are viewed unfavorably by nearly 60 percent of US voters, while fewer than 30 percent would be excited by either candidate’s presidency, according to a CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday.
The poll also found that 56 percent would be afraid and also feel embarrassed if Trump is elected, while 46 percent feel the same about Clinton.
