Israel Syria aggression
Condemnations are pouring in from worldwide over the Israeli violation of Syria’s sovereignty as the regime’s military seizes territory and steps up strikes across the Arab country. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman slammed Western countries’ support for the regime and their silence and inaction on such blatant violations. Esmaeil Baghaei said the Israeli acts are a clear breach of the UN Charter and resolutions, urging an immediate response from the Security Council. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Cuba, and Venezuela have all decried Israel’s seizure of land near the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, with the Qatari Foreign Ministry calling the incursion a dangerous development. Resistance groups, including Hezbollah, and Palestinian Mujahideen also condemned the Israeli aggression against Syria. Calls are growing for global action to stop Israeli attacks, safeguard regional stability, and protect Syria's territorial integrity.
Security of diplomatic missions
Iran has strongly condemned the recent attacks on its diplomatic and consular premises in Syria. Iran’s UN envoy expressed the Islamic Republic’s grave concern in a letter to the UN chief and the president of the UN Security Council. Amir Saeid Iravani further said that these actions are blatant violations of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic and Consular Relations, which guarantees the inviolability of diplomatic missions and the safety of their personnel. He added that no individual, group, or state has the right to commit or facilitate such violations. Iravani urged the UN secretary general and the Security Council to condemn these egregious violations unequivocally and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of diplomatic personnel and premises and prevent the recurrence of such attacks. Amid the downfall of the Assad government, armed militants forcibly stormed and assaulted Iran's embassy and consulate in Syria, resulting in severe damage, vandalism, and theft of archives and documents.
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
The Israeli regime keeps pounding the besieged Gaza Strip, leaving more Palestinian civilians dead and injured across the coastal sliver. In the north of Gaza, at least 25 Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building in Beit Hanoun. Several Palestinians were killed after jets bombed a group of civilians in Beit Lahia. Casualties were also reported after warplanes struck a school housing displaced Palestinians in the Jabalia refugee camp. In central Gaza, a strike on a Palestinian home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood left casualties. In the south, an ambulance crew was directly hit by an air raid in Rafah. The strike also left several people injured. The Israeli aggression against Gaza began in October last year. Since then, over 44,700 people have been killed and more than 106,000 others injured.
