The US and UK have launched multiple airstrikes against targets in the Yemeni capital province of Sana’a and other regions across the Arab country in response to its operations against Israel.
Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, citing a security source speaking on condition of anonymity, reported that four aerial assaults targeted the Jarban area of the Sanhan district in the capital Sana’a province early on Sunday.
US and British military aircraft also targeted a location in the Haffa area of the same province. No further details were immediately available.
Shortly afterward, two air raids struck the Harf Sufyan district in Yemen’s northwestern province of ‘Amran, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The developments follow a joint US-British airstrike against an area in the al-Garrahi district of the western province of Hudaydah hours earlier.
Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 last year, killing at least 43,552 Palestinians to date.
Yemen’s armed forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until Israeli ground and aerial attacks in Gaza end. They have targeted more than 90 Israeli-linked vessels with missiles and drones since the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip started in October 2023.
The Ansarullah resistance movement maintains that it targets ships linked to Israel, the United States, or the United Kingdom to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
In October, the US military unleashed B-2 stealth bombers to bomb Yemen in support of Israel.
