Fighters from Iraqi resistance groups have announced fresh retaliatory strikes on key Israeli targets across the northern and southern parts of the occupied territories, utilizing drones in support of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, said in a statement that its fighters employed explosive-laden unmanned aerial vehicles on Saturday morning to strike a vital target in the port city of Eilat.
“In continuation of our approach to resisting the occupation, and in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, this morning, on Saturday, 16-11-2024, attacked a vital target in occupied Umm Al-Rashrash [“Eilat”] using drones,” the statement read.
The Iraqi resistance vowed to continue its operations against Israeli targets with increasing intensity.
The resistance group also reported a second drone strike on another key target located in the same region within the occupied territories.
Later in the day, the Iraqi resistance alliance claimed responsibility for multiple drone strikes against three key Israeli positions on the northern and southern sides of the occupied lands.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been conducting numerous such operations against sensitive targets lying across the occupied territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime began waging a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
At least 43,799 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the brutal Israeli military onslaught so far.
The coalition has also carried out retaliatory attacks against the US occupation bases across Iraq and neighboring Syria due to Washington’s unbridled political, military, and intelligence support for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
