Amanuel Gebremedhin is a professional multimedia expert based in Ethiopia who specializes in TV and broadcast journalism. He has over 13 years of experience in the media industry as a skilled journalist, content writer, producer, videographer, and video editor.
Throughout his career, Amanuel has held significant roles, including content editor and producer at the state-run Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) and the UAE-owned Al-Ain News, Ethiopia branch.
He has reported on a wide range of issues, from national concerns to regional, continental, and international affairs. Based in Addis Ababa, the capital of Africa, he has reported on most of Ethiopia's foreign policy agendas and conducted in-depth interviews with various leaders, ministers, and diplomats during their official visits to the country.
For six consecutive years, Amanuel has provided live reporting from African Union summits. Notably, he covered the 26th African Union Summit, where Zimbabwe's former President Robert Mugabe delivered a powerful speech calling for UN Security Council reform, stating, “And we have asked and asked and asked, reform, reform the Security Council.”
