Ahmed Al-Najjar is a Palestinian journalist and academic based in Gaza. He holds a B.A. and is a master’s candidate in English Language and Literature. With his skills and qualifications, he started an academic position at the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) in Gaza as an assistant teacher in 2022. However, following the ruthless aggression in October 2023, he lost his academic role as his institution, like all educational institutions in Gaza, was deliberately targeted and destroyed, leaving him unable to continue his work or pursue his higher studies. Driven by the horrific genocide, during which he lost dozens of family members and more friends than he could count, and having become homeless and displaced in his homeland like all other people in Gaza, he felt compelled to report the harsh reality to the world. He began working as a freelance journalist on the ground and has recently joined Press TV as their correspondent in Khan Yunis, Southern Gaza Strip.
