Munawar Zaman is a broadcast journalist based in India. Prior to joining Press TV in 2010 he has worked in the field of Information Technology and support services across many parts of India and abroad. Munawar zaman has worked in Persian Gulf region for almost a decade in service industry and support systems. As a Technology and information analyst he has supported many startups in the Middle Eastern region particularly in Qatar when the country was on the full swing to hold Doha Asian games 2006. Munawar has worked in many sectors in many capacities such as IT analyst, Technology specialist, communication and public relations analyst besides working for several fortune 500 companies back home in India. Munawar Zaman has an overall work experience of 23 years and he is glad to share his first job experience as a school teacher at a local school in India as computer instructor teaching computer science to students from grade 1 to grade 10. He was 19 years old when he started his first job.

Since joining PressTV as New Delhi correspondent in 2010 munawar has covered wide range of stories features, documentaries and other current affairs in a great depth of knowledge, research, travel and analysis. Munawar believes it’s not just the books, schools; colleges or universities where a human being gets knowledge and education but life experiences play a Major role.

As a correspondent in India for Press TV munawar has travelled across the length and breadth of Indian subcontinent covering wide range of issues as a journalist. Munawar zaman has covered In Depth current affairs from Indian subcontinent including 2014, 2019 general elections when India was in a major political transition.

Munawar Zaman says being a journalist is a major social, moral and ethical responsibility and his strength lies in strong dedication to his work as he quotes Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who said “Work is Worship”. He says journalist is a voice of the voiceless who holds great degree of responsibility towards humanity as a whole without caste, creed, ethnicity, religion or a sect.

Munawar Zaman is a Post Graduate in English besides holding many certification courses in Information Technology and science.
