Iran’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the Italian ambassador to Tehran in protest at the Canadian government’s decision to blacklist the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a so-called “terrorist” entity.

In a hostile move against Iran, Canada's Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc Ottawa listed the IRGC as a “terrorist entity.”

Iran has hit out at an "unwise" motion at the Canadian House which calls on the Ottawa government to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group.
