A gold mine in central Isfahan produced 223 kg of the precious metal in the eight months since the start of the Persian year in mid-March, its managing director says.

The Shadan and Hirad ore-processing plants are currently installing machinery and equipment, head of South Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization Abbas Jorjani said during a tour of the two gold mines.

According to the Indonesian authorities, at least seven people were killed and one reported missing after a landslide at an Indonesian gold mine.
