The judge leading Lebanon's investigation into last year's devastating Beirut port blast has issued an arrest warrant for a former minister.

The firm is accused of failing to properly store or dispose of a vitally considerable amount of highly explosive ammonium nitrate.

The explosion at the port of Beirut can be considered the result of the rampant corruption, the incompetent inaction; a system held hostage by a foreign power, which has shattered this nation many times over.

Gebran Bassil, leader of Lebanon’s largest Christian bloc the FPM, has ruled out joining a new government led by Prime Minister-designate Saad al-Hariri.

The Beirut blast probe has been suspended after two former ministers who are suspects in the incident contested the high-profile case.
