US-Iran indirect talks
Iran has rejected any change in the format of the talks with the US, saying the discussions will remain indirect, with Oman acting as mediator. Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei says Iran has been clear that the talks will only focus on the nuclear issue and removal of the US sanctions. Baghaei says Iranian diplomats discussed no other subject with the US during the Muscat talks. Iran and the US concluded the first round of their indirect talks on Saturday. Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi mediated the talks between delegations led by Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi and US Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff. Iran’s foreign ministry later said the negotiations were held in a constructive atmosphere. The ministry added that the talks will continue next week. The White House has also said the negotiations were "very positive and constructive".
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
Palestinian resistance groups condemn recent Israeli strikes on al-Ahli al-Mamadani Hospital in Gaza as a heinous war crime, carried out with US green light. Hamas says the Saturday night attack is a new war crime by the "Fascist" Israeli regime. Hamas says Israel would have never been able to commit such a crime without Washington’s support. The Islamic Jihad also says the US is responsible for such Israeli crimes. It said Israel has turned Gaza into a graveyard of law and humanity amid international silence. Meanwhile, the Gaza government’s media office has denounced the Israeli strikes as a horrific and unprecedented crime. It said Israel has fully destroyed 34 Gaza hospitals as part of an organized campaign to raze the territory’s health infrastructure. Al- Mamadani hospital was the largest functioning in northern Gaza and is now out of service after its emergency unit and main entrance were destroyed in the Israeli strike.
US aggression against Yemen
The US military carries out more airstrikes across Yemen, targeting multiple locations as Washington continues its brutal military aggression against the Arab country. At least three airstrikes hit Al-Sahlain area in northern Sa’ada governorate, while two strikes targeted Al-Munira district in the western governorate of Hudaydah. Several air raids hit Bani Hushaysh and Sanhan districts in Sana'a governorate. Two districts in Ma’rib governorate were also hit with over a dozen airstrikes. Meanwhile, five air raids hit a vocational institute in Al Bayda governorate. Reacting to the airstrikes, member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali al-Houthi condemned US military campaign, saying the aggression will not halt the country’s support for Gaza. He warned that any possible ground military action against the Yemen government will also fail. The new airstrikes on Yemen came after the country’s army downed another American MQ-9 drone, and attacked US warships in the Red Sea as well as Israel's military targets in the occupied territories.
